Highly regarded among collectors, this 1961 Longines Ref. 6995 features the notable “Fab Suisse” dial designation, identifying models produced for the French market.
The 35mm stainless steel case features a beautiful minimalist Calatrava-style grey dial with the Longines logo beneath twelve and the desirable “Fab Suisse” designation. Stick hour markers, pencil hands, and warmly aged pumpkin lume complete the dial. The signed crown completes the design, marking it as a particularly well-executed example from the period.
Powered by the Longines Caliber 23ZS manual-wind movement, it has been recently serviced and is keeping excellent time.
According to the included Longines Extract from the Archives, the movement serial dates production to 1961, with final invoicing to the Swiss market on November 20, 1963. (Longines now charges 120 CHF for an extract.)
