The Ref. 604 AD is double-signed, with the retailer signature of Türler of Zurich appearing beneath the IWC name. Türler was a long-standing IWC authorized dealer and one of Switzerland's most respected jewelers. Retailer-signed dials from this period are increasingly scarce.
The 33mm midsize stainless steel case houses a pie-pan dial that shows well-developed tropical patina across the entire surface. The hands have patinated to match. Applied faceted Calatrava-style indices are paired with a date aperture at three o'clock. The watch retains its original signed "fish" logo crown.
The movement is IWC's Caliber 8521, a 21-jewel automatic built on Albert Pellaton's pawl-winding system, the same used in the original Ingenieur Ref. 666. The Pellaton system is widely regarded as one of the most reliable automatic winding mechanisms ever produced. Service history is unknown, but the watch is running well.
The case and crystal show scratches and scuffs consistent with age, but no major damage. The watch presents in very good vintage condition.
Paired with a black Hirsch leather strap.

Note: Each watch is photographed with a high-powered macro lens to highlight every detail. As a result, fine scratches or surface marks may appear more pronounced than they do to the naked eye.
