This Longines Ref. 8540-60 offers a unique mid-century design paired with the brand’s early automatic Caliber 19A.

The 34mm 10k gold-filled case frames a factory-finished silver dial that has developed a subtle warm tone from natural aging. The dial features the gold-plated Winged Hourglass logo and three gold dots above the pinion, gold-plated Dauphine hands, and gold-plated trapezoid hour markers with Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9. A sub-seconds register is positioned above the 6 o’clock.

Powered by the Longines Caliber 19A automatic movement, it has been recently serviced and is running well.

The watch is in good overall condition with scratches and marks throughout but no major damage. There is oxidation on the back of the lugs and an indentation on the inside of the lower lugs, likely from a previous metal bracelet.

Paired with a Hirsch leather strap.

Note: Each watch is photographed with a high-powered macro lens to highlight every detail. As a result, fine scratches or surface marks may appear more pronounced than they do to the naked eye.
