Introduced in the mid-1950s, the Longines All-Guard represented the brand’s next generation of automatic wristwatches, sharing many of its design and technical elements with the iconic Conquest line. The “All-Guard” name referred to four key protection features of the era: Shock-Guard, Synchro-Guard, Life-Guard, and Water-Guard. This 1956 Ref. 9006-2 features the robust case design and Caliber 19AS movement found in early Conquest models.

The 35mm stainless steel case houses a glossy black gilt dial with applied multifaceted silver wedge hour markers, warm aged lume plots, and Dauphine hands. The gilt minute track, Longines signature, and stylized “All-Guard Automatic” script are formed by exposing the brass beneath the black lacquer, a hallmark of classic gilt dial construction. Broad angular lugs give the case a strong profile, and the watch retains its original signed Longines crown.

Powered by the Longines Caliber 19AS automatic movement, Longines’ flagship automatic caliber throughout much of the 1950s. Its bidirectional winding system helped establish the 19AS as one of the brand’s finest postwar automatic movements. The movement was serviced within the past year by a previous owner and is running well.

The watch presents in good overall condition. The case and crystal have scratches and scuffs consistent with age, but no major damage. Under macro magnification, the dial shows light micro-stippling.
