This stunning 1954 Rolex Oyster Precision Ref. 6422 features a 34mm solid 14 karat gold case. Hallmarks stamped behind the top lug and case back confirm its precious metal construction. The case also bears the Brevet and Swiss cross engraving between the lugs at 12 o’clock.

The non-luminous eggshell dial has aged beautifully over time, complemented by gold dauphine hour and minute hands and a narrow baton seconds hand. The signed Twinlock screw-down crown bearing the rare Swiss cross, along with drilled lug holes, enhance the prestige of the classic Oyster case design.

Powered by the Rolex Caliber 1210 manual wind movement, the service history is unknown, but it is running well.

The case remains well-preserved, showing scratches and signs of wear but no major damage. Paired with a Hirsch leather strap, this is a very attractive example of a 70-year-old Rolex Oyster—and one of the best on the market.
