A historic model with subtle details, the Omega “Teddington” carries both rarity and character.
This 1947 Omega Ref. 2271-9, known as the “Teddington” Red Star, was produced exclusively for the Brazilian market to commemorate Omega’s prize at the Teddington Observatory. It features a 35mm stainless steel case with drilled lug holes and a signed crown. The silver dial is appointed with Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9, dagger indices, and a faded red star positioned below the Omega logo. Feuille-style hands sweep above a sub-seconds register at 6 o’clock. We believe the dial underwent an early touch-up, likely due to Brazil’s humid climate, but remains original to the watch.
Powered by the manual-wind Omega Caliber 30-T2-PC (15 jewels), the watch was serviced in April 2025 and is running well.
The case is in overall good condition for its age, showing wear consistent with use but no major damage. Paired with a Hirsch leather strap.
