During the mid-20th century, Havana retailer Cuervo y Sobrinos was one of Latin America's most prestigious jewelers, known for commissioning watches from Switzerland's leading manufacturers. Produced during the golden age of pre-revolutionary Cuba, this late-1940s Zenith Sporto features the retailer's coveted "ÚNICOS IMPORTADORES" dial signature, meaning "Exclusive Importers," reflecting Cuervo y Sobrinos' exclusive rights to import Zenith watches into Cuba.

The 34mm stainless steel case houses an original dial that has developed a rich tropical amber patina over the decades. Gold-tone dot markers are paired with stylized Arabic numerals at twelve, three, and nine, while thermally blued baton hands are accompanied by a matching sub-seconds hand within a concentric register at six o'clock. The watch is fitted with an oversized scalloped crown.

Powered by the Zenith Caliber 126-6 manual-wind movement. The Sporto retains its original clear acrylic movement dust cover, designed to help protect the movement from dust and moisture when the caseback is removed. The service history is unknown, but the watch is running well.

The watch presents in good overall condition. The case and crystal have scratches and scuffs consistent with age, but no major damage.

Paired with a Hirsch calfskin lizard-embossed leather strap.
